
Terms and conditions
- The Texaco Star Rewards scheme ("Scheme") is open to UK residents aged 18 or over. Employees of Chevron Limited and its UK affiliates are allowed to participate in the Scheme.
- All Star Rewards cards remain the property of Chevron Limited ("Chevron").
- The Star Rewards card is not a cheque, guarantee card, credit or debit card.
- The registration form (including the online registration form) forms part of these terms and conditions. Chevron reserves the right to vary these terms and conditions as necessary during the Scheme for the purpose of introducing new vouchers or offers ("rewards") or for implementing other changes to the Scheme, for legal or regulatory reasons, in the event of a members dishonesty, misuse of the Scheme or failure to comply with these terms and conditions. Details of these changes will be posted on the Star Rewards website ("Website") and may be notified to registered members by post or email where Chevron consider the change requires additional communication.
- Stars can be exchanged for rewards of the type and at the rate promoted on the Website
- To collect Stars:
- cardholders must present their card to the sales assistant at the till before each transaction begins;
- where you have registered online and you have not received a Star Rewards card, you can submit receipts to our FREEPOST address shown below for purchases of goods and services from Texaco service stations excluding non qualifying transactions (as described in clause 7 below) made during this period and we will credit your Star Rewards account with the Stars earned by those purchases;
- where you are a cardholder and do not have your Star Rewards card with you when you are making a purchase at a Texaco service station, you can submit receipts to our FREEPOST address shown below for purchases of goods and services from a Texaco service station excluding non qualifying transactions (as described in clause 7 below) and we will credit your Star Rewards account with the Stars earned by those purchases.
- Stars will only be earned on every complete £1 spent. Stars accredited to cards are based upon the value spent on goods and services from Texaco service stations. Stars are not awarded for National Lottery purchases, payments made through payment agents or payment processors (including without limitation, Paypoint, Payzone or Epay) for mobile top ups, utility bills, TV licences, congestion charges and any other bill payments or transactions permitted by the payment agent or payment processor, vehicle servicing and repairs, MOTs and the purchase of vehicles or parts for vehicles, Fast Fuel and bunkering cards including Key Fuels and ReD and any other goods and/or services as notified by Chevron ("non qualifying transactions").
- New cardholders can use their Star Rewards card the first time they present it on a transaction of 1 or more at a Texaco service station. However, cardholders must register with the Scheme via post, phone or online before they can redeem their Stars. No responsibility can be accepted for lost, delayed or damaged registration forms. Illegible forms or those containing incorrect details will not be accepted.
- Chevron reserves the right to withdraw any rewards from the Scheme, at any time, including for legal or regulatory reasons.
- All Star Rewards registered members will automatically receive operational communications. Operational communications will include information about the Scheme for new Star Rewards members once their registration form or online registration has been received and approved and regular statement mailings confirming their Star balance. Welcome Packs are usually sent out within 28 days after receipt of Star Rewards registration forms or online registration.
- Chevron reserves the right to refuse to award Stars, or to redeem Stars, or any rewards, for any breach of these terms and conditions or failure by a member to pay for goods or services
- In addition to regular statement mailings, Star balances will usually be advised to cardholders on till receipts from transactions qualifying for Stars.
- Chevron reserves the right to vary the rate at which Stars are awarded either by specific Texaco service stations and/or by specific account types.
- Chevron reserves the right to withdraw or cancel any individual card for legal or regulatory reasons, in the event of a members dishonesty or misuse of the Scheme (where there are reasonable grounds for suspecting dishonesty or misuse) or failure to comply with these terms and conditions. Thirty days notice of such withdrawal or cancellation shall be given to registered cardholders by post and email. Chevron reserves the right to end the Scheme in accordance with Condition 15.
- A minimum of eight weeks notice will be given prior to the end of the Scheme. This notice period will be communicated via promotional material in-store at Texaco service stations. Those registered cardholders who have used their Star Rewards card in a minimum of five qualifying transactions (i.e. transactions referred to in Condition 7 except non-qualifying transactions) during the 12 month period prior to the date on which the scheme is to close will also be notified by post or email. Stars must be redeemed by the date which falls 28 days after the end of the eight week notice period ("the final redemption date").
- Stars may be redeemed via the Website or by telephone, fax, e-mail or post. Details can be found on the Website or on the Star Rewards registration form.
- Chevron can accept no responsibility for postal or faxed redemption forms not received, which are illegible or damaged or for emails which are not received. Proof of posting, sending email or faxing is not proof of receipt.
- Details of the Schemes rewards are set out on the Website. Stars may be redeemed for such rewards as may be promoted from time to time as part of Scheme. Rewards are subject to suppliers conditions. Voucher conditions shall be on the back of the vouchers and may also be displayed on or accessed via the Website. Any suppliers conditions in relation to non-voucher rewards shall be on or accessed via the Website.
- Stars accumulated on separate accounts cannot be combined on redemption except at the discretion of Chevron.
- No cash alternative will be given in lieu of any rewards.
- Chevron may apply such reasonable restrictions, conditions or further requirements in connection with the issue or redemption of Stars either generally or in respect of a particular member and may require proof that Stars have been acquired properly (i.e. in accordance with these terms and conditions).
- Rewards are subject to availability. Should any reward become unavailable owing to a high level of demand or for any reason outside of Chevrons reasonable control, Chevron reserves the right to substitute an alternative reward of similar value.
- Scheme membership will be deemed closed, and any Stars written off, if no transactions are made for 12 consecutive months.
- Please allow 30 days for delivery of all rewards.

- Where you have informed us that you only wish to receive information by only email or post, you shall be given notice by your preferred method of communication, in relation to any conditions above which refer to notices given by post or email.
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
- Texaco, the Star T logo and Star Rewards are brands and trade marks owned by Chevron Intellectual Property LLC and/or Chevron Limited.
